Chocolate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chocolate cake, candy, ice cream, pudding, milk, icing, and the list goes on.
Where does all of this chocolate come from?
It is a preparation of roasted and ground cacao seeds. Those seeds are then made into a liquid, paste, or block. Then those can be used as flavoring along with other ingredients.
As an entrepreneur myself, one of my favorite stories is about the chocolate king, Milton Hershey. Hershey had a vision.
Milton discovered a passion for candy-making at 14-years-old. He was in for the long run.
For the next four years, he was an apprentice to a master confectioner.
He then moved to Philadelphia in hopes of starting his own candy company.
Unfortunately, the business failed, and Hershey declared bankruptcy. He tried again and filed for bankruptcy again. Then Mr. Hershey took another risk by starting a company to manufacture caramels. He had been working in Denver and kept learning more about chocolate.
All he needed then was equipment to make this business a success, so he looked for financing. Since Hershy had failed twice, he had a hard time getting people to believe in him. Finally, he started again, and he finally won! The rest is history.
Hershey made millions and we can enjoy the delicious yummy chocolate because of his determination.
So the next time you eat chocolate, pause for Milton, then eat!
