When Disability Strikes…What next?

The world changes for the people who go through it, but we do find a way.

I have heard stories of people who have faced great odds and went on to lived awesome lives.

Maybe you could become disabled. Maybe a friend or a family member, but aren’t going to be the same anymore.

What did disabled mean? It means, impaired or limited by a physical, mental, cognitive, or developmental condition.

I am disabled from a stroke and my boyfriend is disabled because he has schizophrenia.

But we are gonna be okay.

It sounds kinda scary, but we are just humans. It’s our adventure.

Why is this important? Ya just never know. Maybe by reading this if do ever encounter disability, You will think back on this, breathe and think this, and then realize that the game may have changed, but it is your new adventure.

My boyfriend and I have lived together for 11 years. The first day we met, he told me he had schizophrenia. He seemed fine to me, so never gave it a second thought. He talks a lot as part of his condition, which is cool He is so smart, but when I need a break, we have a signal, I take out an hourglass and then he realizes that he needs to chill for…
