The Invention of writing👁️Kinda cool
At one time we only spoke.But then we wrote and could save our ideas.
✒️As writers, I thought that this was pretty cool, so I decided to share it with every one of you guys.
WRITTEN IN STONE — Literally!
We didn’t have paper, pencils, or pens.
This is one of the examples first of writing recorded. They used pictures to symbolize words.
For example, the word idea could be a picture of an eye and a dear. 👁️🦌
The above photo is from 3200 BC and is from Ancient Mesopotamia.
So the first Visible Language — The Inventions of Writing came from Ancient Middle East.
These writings were called cuneiform (Latin for “wedge-shaped”) and they were baked clay or mud tablets that range in color from bone white to chocolate to charcoal.
These inscriptions were also made on pots and bricks.
