Superman 🦸♂️ First Superhero Ever!
Two 16-year-old nerds came up with Superman. Thanks, guys! We love you!
The above photo is what the first Superman comic looked like. If you have an original, it’s worth some major bucks!
On August 24, 2014, a copy graded 9.0 by CGC was sold on eBay for $3,207,852 USD… Wow, I know!
The 16 years olds, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
Eventually, they got the nickname, “Superboys!”
Superman's generally considered the first comic book superhero and he dawned in blue tights. So much perfection!
Jerry was a writer for his school newspaper and Joe was an artist. They were both comic book fans and very shy.
Their first Superman was a bad guy. This was a short mail-order periodical called “The Reign of the Superman.” He did his evil by telepathy.
Soon they rethought it and changed it from a force for evil to a force for good.
They then were on a mission to change the concept. They became obsessed with finding the perfect formula.
