So, why was a glass public bathroom invented?

The first glass public bathroom was invented in Switzerland in 2002 by Italian artist Monica Bonvicini. The bathroom, called โ€œDonโ€™t Miss a Sec,โ€ is located in the St. Gallen art museum.

The walls of the bathroom are made of transparent glass, which allows people on the outside to see inside the bathroom. However, when the door is locked, the glass becomes opaque, providing privacy for the user.
