I walked to the store with my walker.

--

When I got there I went to pull out a gallon of milk and it was too heavy.

I was kinda pooped. It was my first time walking that far.

There was a young man in his twenties standing next to me, and I asked him for help.

All he had to do was pick up the gallon of milk and hand it to me.

Maybe my walker freaked him out. I am 62, He was black and I am white. Maybe I, this old white woman scared him.

There was a maybe possibility that people just don’t care or want to help.

He looked at me and said, β€œI don’t work here.” Then he walked away.

I wrote about kindness. I called it β€œThe Kindness Challenge.”

I prefer to think that my walker may have. made him nervous. I don’t take it personally.

I had a stroke so I can’t walk or talk, but I can write! Just a new chapter in life. I love the journey…..By me a cup of coffee Ko-fi.com/jansebastian5419
