I didn’t date. I only got married. Just call me, “The Collector of last names”.

Photographer Daria Obymaha

Why do chicks want to get married so badly? They dream of that magic day. The dress, the cake, the man, and the kids. The list is long.

Sometimes they live happily ever after. But polls show in 2020 that some 39 percent of marriages in the United States are ending in divorce.

Studies also suggest that about 20% of marriages end within the first five years. So sad for those who believed in everlasting love. That 20% increases by 12 percent within 10 years.

But between 10 years and 15 years, the rate only increases about 8 percent, implying that one of the safest stages of your marriage is between years 10 and 15.

Divorces have become the norm.

My last names were MacKenzie, Sherrard, Scott, Duncan, and Sebastian.

I didn’t dream of a wedding or having kids. I just feared being alone. I was a mess. I am For sure not alone.

Falling in love is the easy part. Staying in love sadly takes effort, understanding, honesty, and kindness. “Sadly or happily?”

Is the glass half empty or half full?

How do people you love suddenly cut you down or call you horrible words?

I still have contact with my ex's and we are friends.
