Cat people are EVERYWHERE!

As of 2021, the number of owned cats in the world is estimated to be 220 million, while the number of stray cats is estimated to be 480 million.

I live in the USA and here tons of people have cats as pets!

66% of U.S. households (86.9 million homes) own a pet. Dogs are the most popular pet in the U.S. (65.1 million U.S. households own a dog), followed by cats (46.5 million households) and freshwater fish (11.1 million households).

So, it is no shocker that some would invent cat yoga!

Fascinated, I wondered, why cat yoga?

The idea for Cat Yoga, though, actually started out as yoga with dogs. An animal lover named Noriko Onuma founded the Japan Dog Yoga Association in 2006 to raise awareness against animal cruelty.

You may be wondering, why do cats like it when you do yoga?
