A Not Happy Mother’s Day 😢Loss.
My friend lost her mom on March 21, 2022. I knew it would be hard on her.
I am 62 and still keep a pic of us on my desk. It’s a framed polaroid of me and mom taken 9 days after I turned 18. My mom died when I was 21.
Lisa was 52 when her mom passed. Her mom was in her 80’s. I new this mother’s day would be really tough.
Do you ever get over losing your mother?
There’s no right or wrong amount of time to grieve the passing of your mother. Sometimes, these feelings can rush back years after your loss. Losing your mother at any age can be a traumatic experience. The loss may be sudden, or you may have witnessed a long decline in health.
Lisa had designed her mom’s plaque. Sad yes, but they were very close.
So, I check on her. Her emotions were all the place. Crying and anger. Everything hit her like a ton of bricks!
She could not paint (She’s an artist.) She stayed in bed and cried.
