Danica Roem is a trailblazing American politician and journalist known for being Virginia’s first openly transgender elected official.
She’s smart, beautiful and determined!
She made history by winning a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates in 2017. In 2023, she achieved another milestone by winning a seat in the Virginia State Senate and becoming the state’s first transgender state senator.
Danica is recognized for her advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights and her commitment to equality.
